Our dedicated, credentialed team treats every pup like family.

Francesca Sampsel
Founder & Co-Owner
My passion for dogs and animal care has been a lifelong journey. As the founder and owner of Pink Paws Play and Stay, I have dedicated countless hours to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment where every dog is treated like family. I am a proud mother to two boys, Maddox and Jacob, who have grown up surrounded by animals and share my love for dogs. Our family includes our beloved dogs, Half 'Stache, Harley, Rose, Red, Tank, Bullet, and Charlie Lou, who are an important part of our daily lives and help inspire the care we provide at Pink Paws. My experience extends beyond daycare, boarding, and grooming. I actively participate in dog shows with my English Bulldog, Bullet, and am involved with bulldog clubs that promote responsible ownership, education, and breed preservation. I am also a 4-H leader, helping teach and encourage the next generation of animal lovers and responsible pet owners. In addition to my work at Pink Paws, I have spent years involved in foster and rescue efforts, helping dogs find loving homes and second chances. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of canine behavior, health, and the importance of individualized care. Pink Paws was built on the values of integrity, education, and quality care. My goal is to create a place where dogs feel safe, happy, and loved while giving pet parents peace of mind knowing their companions are in caring and experienced hands.

Amy James
Co-Owner
Amy became co-owner of Pink Paws in March of 2023. Amy is a lifelong resident of Boonville and graduated from Boonville High School in 1992. After high school Amy attended USI for dental assisting. She is married to Rob James and they have 3 adult children (Noah, Eli, and Abigail) and 1 dog (Aliza). Amy was the assistant to the executive director and later the executive director for Studio Bee Community Youth Center for many years before returning to the dental field as the Office Manager for Warrick Park Dental. She brings management, scheduling, and grant writing experience to the team. Amy has had a passion for animals her whole life and was spurred on to become part of the Pink Paws family by her love for dogs and other animals that she shares with her daughter Abigail.

Maddox Harris
Director | Bather
Maddox is an essential part of the Pink Paws family and brings a calm, dependable presence to every day. With a natural connection to dogs, he has an incredible ability to understand each pup's unique personality and needs. Whether it's knowing who needs extra playtime, a quiet break, or a little extra reassurance, Maddox makes sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. His favorite part of the job is building relationships with the dogs and watching them grow more confident each day. Around the daycare, he's known for remembering every dog's routine, preferences, and personality, making him someone both our pups and their families can count on. When he's not at Pink Paws, you'll usually find him working on his truck or spending time with his dog Soul, who he loves. His dedication, patience, and genuine passion for animals help make Pink Paws a place where every dog is treated like family.

Abigail Chapman

In the last two years she has even braved a local grooming competition that is held in Owensboro in the Spring. Abigail has four dogs Zeppelin, Zena, and Addilyn and Ava. Outside of work Abigail enjoys going on 4-wheeler rides, golfing, and spending time with her dogs, family, and fiance' Cole Chapman.
